Discovering the Gifts of the Chakras

Chakras are centers of life force or vital energy in the human body. Each of the chakras correspond to points in the physical body such as major arteries, veins and nerves, as well as vital organs. The energy that flows through our chakras effects not only the physical body but also our emotional and spiritual lives.

Centering Prayer - Awaken the Heart

Centering Prayer is a form of contemplation or meditation that has been practiced for centuries within the Christian tradition. It is simply a way to learn how to experience God as a loving presence within our lives. The fruits of Centering Prayer are rich. All are welcome to come join us each month - both beginner and experienced.

Exploring the Franciscan Way of Life - Group 2 (Year 1)

Francis of Assisi desired to live the Gospels - he did not set out to create a movement. He chose a radical way of living the gospels by seeing God in all creation. As we journey through this program, we will explore how each of us is called to live the Gospels today.

Perfect Joy: Living the Wisdom of St. Francis of Assisi

Saint Francis invited his followers to live in the present moment. He proposed that if we are awake to each now, we will be filled with joy, despite the circumstances. In this session we will ponder how, even in awful and painful experiences of life, if we are awake in the Now, our presence will issue an abundance of awe.

Matthew Fox: Spirituality, Mysticism and Mother Earth

Our times are full of denial on one hand and despair on the other vis-à-vis climate change and ecocide on planet Earth. We will explore the medicine of the mystics to confront both denial and despair, and to find a path to hope that includes action, new movements, and what Naomi Klein calls “the internal work [that] is crucial as we come together in resistance and transformation.”

Taizé Prayer Service

Taizé is a Christian ecumenical prayer service that originated in France in the 1940s and is designed to achieve a contemplative state and Christian unity through participation in song, scripture and silent prayer.
