Spirituality Programs
Our Programs are offered online and in-person, with a focus on Contemplation, Creative Spirituality, Eco-Spirituality and Franciscan Life. In additional to our seasonal schedule for individuals, most of our offerings can be customized and offered for your private small group.
Quiet Rooms for Self-guided and Guided Personal Day Retreats
Retreat Rooms at Tau Center are simple, yet comfortable spaces that can be reserved for a day of reflection, to meet with a staff Spiritual Companion, for extended private contemplation when attending a program or simply to recharge and renew.
Day Retreat Shared Rooms
In addition to a private retreat room, our Day Retreatants also have access to shared spaces within Tau Center to practice meditation, contemplative reading and creative spirituality.

Group Retreats
In addition to individuals, Tau Center also hosts private small groups for custom retreats and programs or self-facilitated offerings. Each group experience is unique and includes access to a large group space, small kitchen area and the option to reserve additional quiet rooms if additional break-out space is needed. A shaded pavilion in St Clare Garden is also available.

Our Lady of Angels Chapel
As a guest of Tau Center, you’re welcome to visit Our Lady of Angels Chapel located within the Motherhouse of the Wheaton Franciscans. Built in 1954 and renovated in 1990, the Chapel offers a beautiful, gentle place for you to connect with God and community.
St Clare Garden, Peace Path and Cosmic Walk
Unique to Tau Center, the St Clare Contemplative Garden offers individuals and groups a new outdoor space for contemplation, that compliments the natural beauty of the Peace Path and Cosmic Walk Butterfly Garden on the Wheaton Franciscan Campus.
